Located east of Rio Grande Boulevard, in between Central Avenue and Mountain Road, this is one of the more picturesque and New Mexican neighborhoods. Old Town has traditionally been a sightseeing destination for out-of-towners, but is increasingly becoming one of the more vibrant neighborhoods in the city. What was once a neighborhood dominated by southwestern brick and adobe architecture now mingles seamlessly with modern glass and steel architecture. It’s where the old and the new coexist to create one of the most unique neighborhoods in Albuquerque.
